Groceries is an animated documentary about my late father, who passed just shy of about 3 years ago. Every week, he would go buy what seemed like a mountain of groceries, fit for an apocalypse. Since our apartment was on the top floor, he would always call me and my older brother down to unload the car. In this particular memory, the sight of him slowly leaving us in the elevator was very amusing and satisfying to capture in the form of an animation
I wanted to make sure to capture a care free, smug and almost air headed character.
